Many trees line the shorelines and surrounding areas of the park. Valley Oaks, Blue Oaks, Coast Live Oak
and Interior Live Oaks are four common Oaks found in the park. They grow alongside Grey Pines and
Buckeyes, Cottonwood, Black and Arroyo Willow, and Black Walnut. Native shrubs include Toyons,
Manzanita, Elderberry and Redbuds, the latter which puts on a spectacular show of magenta flowers in
the spring.
