While Friends of Lakes Folsom and Natoma (FOLFAN) is proud of our accomplishments, we also realize that increasing our number of volunteers means we can accomplish even more! So we hope that you will get involved and help us care for our wonderful state park. And please encourage others to do the same!

There are five programs that offer different types of work for our volunteers:

  1. Park Cleanup: Be part of a regular park cleanup program called “Adopt the Parkway,” or participate in periodic park cleanup events.
  2. Nursery/Gardens: This is our newest program with opportunities for volunteers interested in working in a native plant nursery or garden environment. Great opportunity to learn about native plants and habitats.
  3. Bald Eagle Interpretive Program: Be one of our bald eagle docents and help inform park visitors about our resident bald eagles (Feb through June).
  4. FOLFAN Outreach Program: Help set up and host our FOLFAN and state park outreach exhibit at select community and park events. Great opportunity to learn all about our state park and FOLFAN.
  5. Guided Outdoor Activities: This is a new program in which we work with state parks’ interpretive staff to plan, coordinate, support or lead organized activities that are both recreational and educational in nature. This can range from guided hikes to nature photography workshops to guest speakers.

Please fill out the contact information below and then select the programs that you are  interested in. We will keep you informed about volunteer opportunities based on the areas you select.
